Generate Domain Ideas from a Keyword
The Domain Generator helps you turn a keyword into available domain name suggestions. Enter a word or short phrase without a dot, press Generate, and the tool requests suggestions from Verisign's domain suggestion API for a fixed group of extensions: .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, and .xyz.
The results are suggestions reported as available by the external API at the moment the request is made. They are useful for brainstorming and narrowing choices, but they are not a purchase guarantee, trademark review, WHOIS/RDAP confirmation, registrar price quote, or final availability decision. Always confirm the name with your registrar or a WHOIS/RDAP lookup before buying, branding, or launching a project around it.
How to Use the Domain Generator
- Type a keyword into the domain keyword input. Use a root idea such as
coffee,garden tools, or your product category instead of a complete domain. - Do not include a dot. Inputs that contain
., such asexample.com, are rejected by the tool before the API request is made. - Select Generate. A loading spinner appears while the Livewire request is running.
- Review the generated result rows. Each row displays a suggested domain name returned by the API.
- Use the Buy button beside a result to open the configured purchase or affiliate URL in a new browser tab.
- Before registering a name, verify availability, price, renewal terms, premium status, and trademark risk outside this tool.
What the Tool Sends and Shows
When you generate suggestions, the backend clears the previous results and any previous error state. It trims the keyword, lowercases it, rejects it if it contains a dot, and then appends the remaining value to a Verisign suggestion API URL. The request asks for unregistered suggestions only, includes suggestion-type information, enables the sensitive-content filter, allows numbers, limits results to names up to 32 characters, uses English language settings, requests up to 50 results, and disables IDN handling.

Example Result
A production sanity test using the keyword coffee reached the Verisign suggestion API and returned available-domain results. In that moment, the first sample result observed was SouthernCoffeeCompany.com. Your results may differ because domain availability changes constantly, the API can return different suggestions over time, and a name can become registered or reserved after it appears in the list.
Use examples like this as brainstorming output, not as proof that the same domain remains available. If a result looks promising, click through to the registrar flow or check the domain through an independent WHOIS/RDAP source before making decisions about naming, branding, ads, social handles, or printed material.
Limitations to Know Before You Search
This generator is intentionally narrow. It does not provide a manual extension picker, custom TLD list, saved shortlist, export option, local fallback generator, registrar comparison, premium-domain detector, trademark screen, renewal-fee review, or WHOIS/RDAP confirmation. It also does not guarantee that the external API's availability state will match the final checkout result at a registrar.
The current implementation concatenates the trimmed, lowercased keyword into the request URI without an observed URL-encoding step. Ordinary words are the safest input. Spaces, symbols, ampersands, slashes, question marks, non-English characters, and other special characters may change request behavior, affect results, or cause the upstream request to fail. If a search behaves unexpectedly, try a simpler keyword made from letters and numbers.
The tool disables IDN support with use-idns=false and uses lang=eng, so it is best suited to English-language ASCII domain brainstorming. It should not be treated as an internationalized domain name checker.

Choosing a Domain Responsibly
A good domain suggestion still needs human review. Check pronunciation, spelling, brand fit, renewal cost, premium pricing, search ambiguity, and possible conflicts with existing businesses or trademarks. Avoid assuming that a generated name is legally safe simply because it appears as available in a suggestion feed.
If you are naming a serious business, product, nonprofit, publication, or app, compare several shortlisted names outside this tool. Confirm the exact domain, related social handles, common misspellings, and the cost of the first year versus renewal years. For legal risk, consult a qualified trademark professional before investing heavily in the name.
